Ravenclaw inspiration before doing Hufflepuff? Am I ignoring my Harry Potter house? Great question! Obviously my loyalty is to all things Hufflepuff, but it was January and Ravenclaw fits best for the winter.
I wanted to make this Ravenclaw wedding inspirational, to appeal to all Harry Potter fans, for them to see elements and dream to incorporate them into their own wedding day. Because Harry Potter can be elegant!!
We wanted to play up the bird aspect of Ravenclaw, which was an interesting challenge! Instead of focusing on the blackness of the raven, we went more winter white, to play off the shades of blue and bronze, that are the house colors.
Since we did smoke bombs in the Slytherin inspired shoot, it was only fitting to have smoke bombs in this one! The blue smoke bomb going off with the greenhouse in the background is gorgeous! And a lot of fun!!
The show stopper is obviously the greenhouse with all the flowers. Amie from College Park Flowers wanted the space to feel like a greenhouse, so she infused it with a lot of white flowers and greenery. That allowed all the blues we used to pop in all the photos.
My true hope, when couples see these images, is that they are inspired to make their Harry Potter wedding dreams come true! One of the most common areas of concern for couples is to not make their family, who may not share their passion, feel awkward. Of course the elements here are a bit over the top, but I hope things like the invitation suite, place settings and flowers help inspire them!
Some great news!! We were published by PopSugar!! The same amazing publication that featured the Slytherin shoot! I am beyond excited that we were published, I can’t wait to see all the Harry Potter fans get inspired again!
