One of the most beautiful parks in Houston is Mercer Botanic Gardens. It has so much lush greenery, beautiful flowers and wildlife. It is one of my happy places! I also love doing sessions here like Grace and Chase’s engagement session. But we aren’t here to talk about Grace and Chase, no we are here to talk about Sapphire and Jose’s springtime Mercer Botanic Gardens engagement session! It is stunning and we had a great time capturing these photos!
Springtime Mercer Botanic Gardens Engagement Session
Hoo-boy, this session has all the feels of the secret garden! With a hint of Harry Potter mixed in! Sapphire and Jose wanted a session that showed them off, as well as their love for Harry Potter. As Houston’s top Harry Potter wedding photographer, I was fully supportive. They brought their cake topper that says “To the Very End” and a weight that has the Deathly Hallows insignia on it and the word “Always”. All very appropriate.
To make the session feel like them, I wanted to focus on what they love about each other first and incorporate the Harry Potter things organically. I love the image where you can see Sapphire’s engagement ring with the cake topper. It’s romantic and themed.
I loved that the butterflies and frogs were in abundance for this shoot. We even spotted a bunny! Sapphire’s dress went with the park really well. Since the space was largely green, her pinks and blues popped with the space. They both looked gorgeous! I love how everything came together for this springtime Mercer Botanic Gardens engagement session.
Do you have a favorite photo from this springtime engagement session? I am partial to any of the photos where Sapphire is laughing, but I am a sucker for images where my clients look joyful!
Colleen and Bill’s engagement session at Houston’s 1940’s Air Terminal Museum was as gorgeous as it was unique. Houston’s 1940’s Airport Terminal Museum was designed
Anastasia & Edurado’s McGovern Centennial Gardens engagement session is equal parts dreamy/gorgeous and super fun! Normally in engagement sessions I encourage my clients to go
If it isn’t obvious at this point, Mercer Botanic Gardens is a popular place for engagement sessions! In fact two blogs ago I was talking
